Masterson’s Lounge, situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my most recent experience at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I experienced behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .

The floorboards were filthy, and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and filthy restrooms suffused the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and sour vomit .
